WHEN YOU SEE
When you see a tear stained face, hear what they say,
Tears of pain or sorrow that flow and seem to stay,
Be there and then listen, just try and truly understand,
Help wipe those tears away with an ever loving hand.

When you see sad eyes yet no words come through,
Listen to the heart beat and what it says to you,
You may be that ray of light when hope is gone,
Let them see that you care so a battle may be won.

When you see someone all alone, go and be a friend,
Show that you need them, on each other depend,
Gather them to your heart whoever they may be
And there will be true friendship for eternity.

When you see a desperate soul in utter despair,
Put your arms around them and still be there,
And if they turn and shun, tell you to go away
Listen to the unspoken words that they do say.

Tears, sadness, loneliness, desperation have no sound,
Deep within your heart true compassion may be found,
Just be there for them, let them know never alone they be
With a friend and their God they are in good company.
