HELPING OTHERS
If we try and serve others our own hurt will fade away,
And we will feel better at the end of a long hard day,
As we look around our own troubles may fade and dim,
When we see a greater need of others, the pain they are in.

One day we may be the one burdened with a heavy load,
But if we have helped others before along a rough road,
The Lord will find a way to bless so spirits rise high,
Someone will be there to hear that desperate sad sigh.

He will not leave us comfortless, He loves His children so,
If we lift our saddened eyes upward we’ll fell His love flow.
Stretch out, hold a hand of a stranger, loved one or friend,
For we never know what kind of help the Lord may send.

‘Cast thy bread upon the waters’ we were all wisely told,
And later on many rich blessings will surely to all unfold,
Trust and ever rely on the great wisdom of our God above,
Knowing that all trials can be overcome by His eternal love.
