WAITING QUIETLY
Waiting quietly while the treatment is being done,
The fight for cancer still trying to be one day won,
Surrounded by sweet angels of mercy of every kind,
Nicer people would be very hard to go and find.

Drip, drip, drip the strong medication flows through,
Hoping it works so find strength and energy renew,
Sitting by a loved one this time together to share,
Just being with them shows how much you really care.

At least six long hours for the treatment to be given right,
Slowly to start with so it may work with all it’s might,
This way the patient is not too ill, but if it goes too fast
It can cause problems, yet pleasantly the time goes past,

Thank you staff of the clinic that work there each day,
To bring healing and comfort to some along life’s way
To many who need some special loving tender care,
Thank you for the way you show kindness to those there.
