NOT CRAZY
People think folks are crazy if they say they have seen an old friend
Who has been dead for many years, think, poor soul is round the bend,
‘Didn’t you see our Bill and Frank, they left just as you now entered in’?
I think we should believe them to laugh at them I feel is a cruel sin.

How thin the veil is between unknown death and life we know not,
Or how many dead loved ones watch while you sleep in your cot,
Have you ever felt someone close by and yet see no body there,
Maybe a spirit of a loved one with some time with you to share.

Maybe as we grow older and our earthly eyes grow dim and weak,
That may be when spiritual eyes other visions wish to find and seek,
And there close by where they since death have very often been,
They come into view for us at last those lost loved ones are seen.

So do not make fun or mock the old who see loved ones long gone,
For they are now close to the veil, their earthly journey almost done,
Those are they quietly waiting to be with them at this life’s end,
For when we pass this life we are greeted by loved ones and friends.
