KNITTING
Knit two purl two makes a rib that is neat,
Good for many things, knits many a little treat,
Toques and scarves, mittens and sweaters too
And an easy one to learn when starting quite new.

Then there is a way of making a little pattern
That is not at all very hard to try and quickly learn,
Every now and then along an easy knitting row,
Wool forward, knit two together and holes will show.

Work this into a design and a new baby blanket will be
Quite different as you work it out, just you wait and see,
What comes out as the pattern you think to make
Is filled with love as special pains you try and take.

With a couple of needles and a ball of wool or yarn,
A garment can be made to keep loved ones all warm,
As you get better at knitting many things you can make,
But I beg and plead not underwear for goodness sake.
