        BIRTHDAY FLOWERS
Some lovely roses of the deepest, pure red,
Clusters of carnations with many a pretty head
Mingled in a bed of multi-coloured green,
One of the nicest arrangements I have seen.
The flowers are placed in a fluted glass vase,
Both vase and arrangement had words of praise.
Thanks for the gift full of love and beauty,
I hope they last a long time for many folks to see.
I think I will press a flower or leaf to remember the day
The flowers came and sweet joy came along my way.
