More poems for a Friend

FOR LEROY
Farewell gentle kind friend, we will miss
your quiet ways,
Miss your smiling face, but sweet
remembrance stays,
We will miss seeing you work within
the temple walls,
But you willingly went home at His
sudden call,
Your willingness to serve those both
far and near,
There are very few people who feel
so very dear.
You served the Master and all those
around you,
A gentle heart of pure gold willing to
serve your life through.
Always there for others thinking very
little of self,
Serving even when hurting yet trying not
to show ill health.
Rest well dear friend until we shall
all meet again,
Now Leroy rejoice with past loved ones
and be free from pain.
