CAMERON LAKE
On the banks of Cameron lake, not too far away,
We went with other missionaries for a pleasant day,
A quiet beauty spot away far from traffic and din,
A lovely place of peace to sooth without and within.
The seniors together, one big happy missionary family,
Bonding links of friendship for now and for eternity,
Sharing the joys of nature that everywhere abound,
Another part of Canada where quiet beauty is found.
Sitting by the lake listening to the waves kiss the sand,
Birds flying overhead in joy, looking where to land,
The wind blowing strong to help or hinder, it depends
How the sailor sets his sail, the wheel and rudder sends.
Good food, sweet companionship, a feeling of deep love,
All together nestled in nature, a free gift from up above,
Thank you for inviting us together in this lovely place,
Now we can all put with the names we read a smiling face.
