UNWELCOME GUESTS
The clouds come like unwelcome guests
in the sky of blue,
Partly blocking out the sun from our
earthly view,
Drifting one by one, then forming one
great white mass,
It seems unlikely that without rain
they will not pass.
The breeze is cooler now, the trees
lost their glow,
Bird songs are silenced as off to
shelter they go.
Wait, there is a large patch where the
sun appears again,
Maybe we will manage a wonderful day
without rain.
