More poems about Forgiveness

        THE NEED TO FORGIVE
We all need to forgive one another every day,
Not hold a grudge or pain will not go away,
Hurt will linger and the anger stronger be,
And of anguish we will never be really free.

The Lord wants us to forgive everyone,
Not always that easy to be willingly done,
But for any heart to heal and peace to dwell,
We must try to forgive for the heart to be well.

All weariness of soul will lift as we forgive
Once again, your whole being will begin to live,
The sky will be brighter and birds sweeter sing,
That is wants a forgiving tender heart can bring.

No hurt can heal, no soul can grow if unforgiving,
It is as though vengeance is the reason for living,
No contentment can be left in a vindictive life,
It would seem that were would be continuous strife.

Follow the Master, forgive with all your heart,
Then you can be forgiven, you do your part
So you may grow more loving, day by day,
And have true happiness along life’s way.
