HEADACHES
Some headaches you can work through,
Manage to struggle on, many a useful thing do.
Other times a headache comes you just want to lie
In a dark room until the sick pain passes by.
The slightest sound hurts your aching throbbing head,
Every movement makes you wish to be dead.
The cat jumping on the bed to see what is wrong
Feels like a ton of bricks, her purr a raucous loud song.
Your head is tender, light, a cruel sharp pain,
Vision is all blurry, you wonder if youll see again,
Its the barometric pressure change clever folks say,
But whatever it is I wish it would go far away.
Pain killers and Gatorade and a little bite to eat
Helps a little, so you can stand on your feet,
Get going and then try to get on with the day,
Try not to be too miserable, cheerful try to stay.
