4000TH POEM
Quite an occasion to celebrate this day,
So this poem needs to be special I’d say,
Full of words of wisdom or very witty,
Maybe tell a funny tale or some silly ditty.
Yet of nature this poem should really speak
Some great spot of beauty go out and seek,
Tell of a perfect sunset, a rose covered in dew,
Or find some creature that is seen by very few.
My tumultuous mind is busy, ideas are all around,
But the perfect subject for this poem is not found,
But included in these verses that are short and sweet
Must come a very big thank you to all those I meet.
Thank you dear husband for all the work you do,
For full stops and commas and plodding through
All my poems, sorting them out, internet them for me,
An act of love and kindness, and I am worry free.
Thanks to all who read them and say they’ve been blest,
Thanks to those with bright ideas that fill me full of zest,
Thanks to God in heaven for this gift that I have found,
I pray that sweet inspiration will continue to flow around.
Four thousand poems, messages sent from heaven above
For me to give to others to show of God purpose and love,
To share laughter and joy and also thoughts deep and sincere,
Maybe through poetry all may feel God’s presence more near.
