TEACHING THE CHILDREN
When we think of teaching children many
ideas come to mind,
But the best way to start is to be always
loving and kind,
Teach them by example to follow along
the right way,
Teach as the Saviour taught for He
could not stray.
Watch their attention when a good story
you quietly tell,
On every single word these precious
children dwell.
Believe what you are teaching for a
child will know,
Teach with sweet humility, then you will
watch them grow
In the light of the gospel if your light
has been truly bright,
For teaching children of the truth fills
all with sweet delight.
Listen to the spirit, as you search to teach
a little child.
Strive to be like them, being so teachable
and so mild.
Always teach by example in actions words
and every deed,
Then the children in your life your expectations
will always exceed.
Teach a child with kindness, humility, honesty
and eternal love
And then you will be in partnership with
God in heaven above.
