A SPECIAL DAY
Saturday was a special day for Klaighnah was four,
Most of the family together, fifteen or maybe more,
Went down to Jack Darling Park on a lovely day,
As the children played and the adults chatted away.
Heather and Dave brought their guitars and we sang,
Nowhere around could be found a much happier gang,
The sun shone but nor too hot nor was it too cool
And we were sitting by the sprinkling splashing pool.
We ate and sang happy birthday and had fun in the sun,
A special family day and for Klaighnah a new year begun,
In a park by the lovely great lake that we call Ontario,
A place that in all seasons is a wonderful place to go.
