LIGHT IS MEASURED BY CANDLEPOWER
I maybe only one candlepower, burning ever bright,
Especially through the dark, dismal hour of night,
If others come to join me the brightness will increase,
Until darkness is overcome and truth never cease.
Have you ever noticed when the candle is nearly done
It appears to burn brighter as is if its battle is almost won,
Before that last few flickers of death it really glows,
As if every effort of puts forward before life goes.
I hope my candle burns bright my whole life through,
Others light their light from me so more light will renew,
My flickering dying flame will not fade bright in vain,
But help others their light potential to always gain.
Never underestimate the strength of one candlelight power,
Even if through a dark night it burns for just one hour,
Look up through your candle and see all the others that shine,
Let us shine together showing the truth of our Master divine.
Light is measured by candlepower as long as it is lit,
Not safely in a drawer or in a box useless there to sit,
But be a small light shining for truth and with love,
Holding your candle will guide you and others above.
