ROOMMATES
Sometimes in life the lessons we have to learn
Make us for different situations to often yearn,
But growth comes from enduring well to the end
And constant messages of love and kindness send.

It’s not always easy when you’re faulted at every turn,
But he may be quite feeling homesick and does yearn
For his home and does not know how to compensate,
Brought up a different way so give him time and wait.

Show him love and understanding, try and work out
A system that can be set up so no criticising is about,
One week follow his rules, the next week do it your way,
Maybe this will work out and there’ll many a happy day.

If not, remember the Master, the way He acted through life,
Was always kind and gentle when He was faced with strife,
Another way to help you overcome when things go wrong,
Just start off singing a tune, some favourite sacred song.

Now you two brothers this will not be easy but you will grow,
Become more like the Saviour as through life you go,
Remember all of us are God’s children and he loves us so,
Cover your roommate with love see how fast time will go.
