More poems about Rain

SUMMER RAIN
The summer rain fell cool and refreshing,
A relief from the heat, came as a blessing,
Flowers drank thirstily, trees danced with glee,
Yes, sometimes the summer rain is good to see.
But of late the rain had come too frequently,
Not come down gently, but full of cruel ferocity,
School holidays will soon be about to begin,
So we hope some days of sunshine we will win.
Even going out in the car it is hard to see
With the wipers having to work constantly.
Mind you, I must admit everywhere is a vivid green,
No burnt brown grass can anywhere be seen,
But someone should tell the rain we need the sun,
So we can go out and enjoy the sunshine and fun.
