GENEROSITY
If we are generous to our fellow men, give to those in need,
Willingly help others around and always try to take heed
Of the less fortunate, do not turn our back and then say
They must have done something wrong to end up that way.

Even the poor can some small something be able to give,
It is said if you give a crust to help another person live,
The Lord will soon send somehow a whole new loaf to you,
All we have to do is give what we can, and we’ll win through.

Do we trust the Lord enough to give more than we think we can,
Give until it hurts and through our faith the Lord has a plan,
But we have to take the first step be willing to truly sacrifice,
And we will be blest and learn that what is left will suffice.

Prudent living so we can give will help us grow ever strong,
Remembering the hungry, homeless and the needy’s great throng
Will spark in us a love of giving and so selfishness will depart,
And we will know, without other blessings, we have done our part.

Do not rob God, Malachi said, heaven’s windows will open wide,
Always be generous in giving and His blessing he cannot ever hide,
No kind deed ever goes unnoticed no giving will forgotten be,
If no gifts come now they will be recorded for blessing eternally.
