More poems about Lakes

VISION OF BEAUTY
You should have seen it, that jewelled
lake in the sun,
A multi-faceted diamond shining
just as the day begun,
Then the diamond changed to a brilliant
red ruby so bright,
That for an exhilarating moment it
filled me with delight,
Then the lake paled as the sun began to
quite quickly climb.
It then changed again to a sapphire blue,
a favourite colour of mine,
Just in a very short distance of time that
lake gave freely to me,
A vision of priceless jewels that I’ll
remember through eternity.
