More poems about Humour

        A FIT OF THE GIGGLE
I was reading a book riding on the bus one day
And a funny incident set me off giggling away,
A Farley Mowat tale of a dog doing odd things,
The whole bus with my giggles did loudly ring.

The more I tried to stop the harder it became,
In fact my sides began to be wracked with pain,
But I could see smiles appear on many a sad face,
So I did not worry about me being in disgrace.

Soon the whole bus had a fit of the giggles so loud,
We became for a while quite a noisy, silly crowd,
As others enter the bus they looked as very puzzled,
Thinking that the whole bus alcohol had guzzled .

It was so infectious that soon they joined the fun,
And it was hard to remember how the giggles begun,
As I dismounted the giggles all remained behind,
I am sure a happier bus load would be hard to find.
