SETTING A GOOD EXAMPLE
We know a good example we should always set,
Not cause people to question and us to sadly fret
Because we said or did something that was not right,
Then we want to hide ourselves quickly out of sight.
How many times do we ask our children to refrain
From certain activities, quietly try to carefully explain
The right and wrong of everything then they just say
But mom I saw you doing that just the other day.
I saw a mother yell at a child for smoking a cigarette,
With one hanging from her month a scene Ill not forget,
I told my child not to speak with his mouth full of food,
That it was impolite and also vulgar and a little rude.
I was telling him this while I was chomping away,
And I realized that we ate in quite a different way,
I said I was sorry and then changed my little phrase,
If you eat with your mouth full dont put it in full gaze.
It is not always easy a good example to always be,
But let us watch out when correcting others that we see
The faults in ourselves that could be worse than others,
So dont judge be an example to your sisters and brothers.
