IN MEMORY OF ROSS
A dear friend has departed and left us behind,
Let us be happy as we remember Ross, the kind,
Loved to play cards with friends at the Legion hall
And hope those dear friends much joy theyll recall.
Ross loved making people happy put a smile on a face
That had been sad and lonely, then walk at a faster pace,
For his whole countenance spread laughter all about,
For he was Santas double, of that there was no doubt.
He loved his dear Lil, and all his four children as well,
Although he had a temper not long did it ever dwell
But soon returned the laughter in those sparkling eyes,
His love of all people especially children of every size.
Diabetes claimed this happy soul yet he never did complain,
Smiled and laughed a lot to help hide his hurt and pain,
Could often put on a smiling face when feeling low,
Oh yes, a real Santa Clause as through life he did go.
Farewell dear husband, father, grandpa and sweet friend,
We will all miss you now, but at our own journeys end
We will meet again, you were taken early up above
Because they needed a Santa to spread your sweet love.
