I DREAMT
I dreamt I was by the Master’s side
Walking along the shore of Galilee,
The tears of deep joy I could not hide
As He looked down and smiled at me.

I was a little child trying to keep pace
With the crowd that Him all did follow,
I faltered when I could not see His face,
Then landed weary in some sandy hollow.

He stopped, looked around, gazed my way,
He had missed me from the mighty throng,
He turned, picked me up on that special day,
Sat me on His shoulders, I sang a joyful song.

He sat me on His knee as parables He told,
I felt His love envelop me there in Galilee,
I knew my Master, in my dream I did behold
The incredible love that He has for you and me

When I awoke my face was wet with tears,
For His presence and love was around me still,
I lay in perfect peace as away flew all my fears,
The dream helped me want to obey God’s will.
