More poems about Saviour & Friend

BEING FRIENDS WITH THE MASTER
Have I earned the love of the Master through each day,
Acted worthily as I travel along life’s busy way,
Have I been a good example, been a true and kind friend,
Am I willing to remember to endure well to the very end?
I not only want to call Him, Master, Saviour and King,
But I want to call Him friend, then I can endure anything,
I want to know he holds my hand, know He is there for me,
Just like the true friend to all who strive to live worthily.
I know that He loves me deep down within my heart,
But do I always strive to do good, want to do my part?
I know it will be me, not Jesus that won’t let friendship grow,
For His path is constant it’s me who on wrong paths will go.
I pray that pride will depart, so be filled with humility,
That I, one day, a true daughter of Christ I will be,
Then I will know His voice and He shall know my name,
So His countenance will shine in me, that is my aim.
What better friend could we have than Jesus, the best friend of all,
He will never leave us He will be there whatever may befall,
We can share our deepest secrets, our joys and sorrows too,
It is a bonding worth striving for our whole lives through.
