LOOKING FOR MOTHER NATURE
Have you seen Mother Nature? Ive looked everywhere,
I need to find her quickly and ask her about the cold air,
Is her thermostat broken? Or is it just set much too low?
It is lovely spring now so up the temperature should go.
The winds and breezes should be warm and gentle by now,
Not all fierce and cold making the poor trees bend and bow,
The sky above is vivid bright blue just as we want it to be,
But please Mother Nature, turn up the temperature for me!
I wonder if she has gone away south for a long holiday,
And forgotten to turn the heat up before she went away,
I really must find her although I have looked everywhere,
Maybe if we Canadians freeze to death she doesnt care.
But she gives us so much beauty that I know that is not true
Perhaps she thinks our skins up here should be a shade of blue,
Please, has anyone at all seen her or know of her whereabouts ?
For if I do not find her soon therell be many screams and shouts.
At last I found her and she was having a good spring clean,
She was just extra busy, not once wanting to be cruel or mean,
She promised that the temperature would be higher the next day,
For she told me that at sweet last late spring was on her way.
