AT LOSING THE FIRST GAME
My noisemaker was quiet, my cheers
did not come,
After the game my countenance
was quite glum,
The only bright things was my
comfy seat
By the fireside and not suffering
from frozen feet.
Last year the Blue Jays started well
at first,
Then at the end for winners they
did often thirst.
So I’ll look on the bright side of our
great loss today,
Will it mean we’ll win the championship
that way.
