SHAKESPEARE NIGHT
Have you ever been to a Shakespeare night?
Not a show or play to fill you with delight,
But an evening with people who love the Bard well
A group of special folks, that was plain to tell.
We were welcomed, though strangers, with open arms,
Each one sharing friendship, full of grace and charm,
A fun evening sharing ideas with a lot of chatter,
Goofing on Shakespeare’s lines, but that didn’t matter.
The laughter and merriment and good company
Filled Helga’s home with a great deal of jollity,
New friends not to be forgotten on that great day,
A time to be oft remembered and think of in a special way.
