More poems about Beauty Spots

MISSISSAUGA PARKS
I love to wander among all the
leaves so green,
Especially in early spring with
their new sheen,
Hear them rustle like laughter
on the breeze,
It is so gratifying after winter’s
long freeze.

I love to feel the warm spring
rain on my face,
Watch the flowers start to grow
at a great pace,
See birds returning from the south
on weary wings,
Smell the sweet earth that a pleasant
rain brings.

Walk by the gurgling river, watch
the fish go
Struggling upstream, so much
strength do show,
Feel the grass all newly grown
around my feet,
Then find a beauty spot and sit and
a friend to meet.

Here in Mississauga you can often
wander at will
Through many lovely parks and so
have your fill
Of nature in places large and then some
quite small,
But I love the parks right by the lake
the best of all.
