ON SEEING A MOUSE AT THE TEMPLE
The other day in the temple I saw a strange sight,
A little brown mouse hurrying with all his might
Across the pretty carpet and scurried off somewhere,
No one else saw him yet other people were there.
(Im glad because they might have screamed)
Then I saw another where the projector does hide,
I wondered how on earth he got there, did he glide
On mouse wings, do they have a temple recommend
Is there a mouse check-in desk, the temple to defend?
Now if that is the case there is a mouse Bishop out there,
And a Relief Society President and her councilors I do declare
For I have seen them at meetings especially when cooking,
I seem to be the only sister that seems to be there looking.
(Im glad because they might have screamed)
The only thing the mice in the temple were not in white,
That really would have been quite an interesting sight,
Not even little white slippers or shoes on their four feet,
I wonder if they feel out of place as humans in white they meet?
I am sure the engineers dont put down poison or traps,
Just tempt the mice outside with tasty little food scraps,
Next time, if you are not afraid of mice, look around and see
If there is a temple mouse maybe working on his ancestry.
