JIMMY AND PADDY TEACH SCHOOL
All the mice children were out to play
There was no school at all that day,
Both teachers sick what could they do?
Could Jimmy and Paddy teach too?
Paddy could teach woodwork to the boys
How to make furniture and some little toys,
All the girls wanted to join in all that fun
And new talents learned and prizes won,
Cooking and gardening, other things as well
There would be no one absent all could tell,
Jimmy could making math exciting to learn
How to start a business run your own little firm.
The board agreed to give it a try for a week or two
While the teachers were sick with that terrible flu,
Bill and his pals could teach them to ride a canoe
And they could think of other things for them to do.
Mice all love to lean, they are as clever as can be
There are hundreds sent away off to university,
Others like to work with their paws nice things to make
There was never any worry of keeping the students awake.
So classes were arranged so other work could be done
Helping to teach all the mice would be a lot of fun,
Even Christmas gifts were made and hidden away
To surprise all the parents on Christmas day.
