        STRAYER AWAYERS
What are ‘strayer awayers’ you may want to ask?
To explain this is quiet a simple little task,
They are things you do that can lead you astray,
Slowly help your feet from the right path go away.

Too much television everyday comes to my mind,
A little more time everyday can easily bind
You to the goggle box for far too long each day,
They make thoughts of the scriptures fade away.

Too many nights at the movies, too much sport,
Too many hours working and not enough thought
For family or other important things all around,
Wrong priorities, the worst ‘strayer awayer’ found.

It may not be good English but it sounds such fun,
And worth thinking about with each new day begun,
As you stop and think of the things you need to do
Ask is this a ‘strayer awayer’ or a good thing for you?

‘Strayer awayers’ sneak up to lead you from your goal,
Surreptitiously weaken you as away you stroll
From all the good purposeful things in your life
As you stray forgetting family and so cause strife.
