HUMANITY IS FLAWED
We know that we as humans lack perfection,
Every day we live there is a battle to be won,
To overcome natural man, for perfection strive,
But without the atonement we could not survive.
We would be always buried in wickedness and sin,
However hard we tried perfection we could not win,
We need to be moulded by the Masters loving hand,
Willing to hear His voice and always understand.
I watched a potter throw clay and a perfect vase make,
His hands moved and gently, lovingly worked, it did take
Awhile then there for all to see the finished object where
A short while ago was a lump of clay, ugly not at all fair.
In a museum a saw a Faberge egg a priceless gift,
The colours were perfect, they would not let me lift
The egg and hold it, a master crafter of great worth
Painted and set the stones with precious things of earth.
Humans who master an art or craft can some perfection bring,
So why do we not let the Master His touch of perfection bring
Into each of our lives, although we will not be perfect right away,
He can with a gentle touch of His hand guide us every day.
