WAITING
I sat quietly waiting for the meeting to begin,
Trying to feel at peace and have calm within,
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir was singing,
A soothing, gentle, sweet spirit to me bringing.
I needed and wanted to be spiritually well fed,
I wanted to be reverent, so I bowed my head,
Listen to the music and get close to the Lord,
Waiting to be well fed by His precious word.
But it is good to say hello as our friends we see,
Have a hug and hand shake, do it reverently,
Then there are those you have not seen in awhile,
Thats when you want to chat instead of just smile.
The time is getting close, almost ready to start,
I hope I have the right feeling within my heart,
I feel His love around me, see it everywhere,
Yes, I know of His love and His tender care.
Ill try and show my love by sitting reverently,
Listen to the music and so try in tune to be,
But what would be better and my hearts desire,
While waiting to be able to sing in the stake choir.
