A LIGHT WITHIN
If we strive continually to have a true light within,
Wherever we go our world will never be dull or dim,
No darkness can cloud us, the light sends dark away,
So let our light within be a beacon though each day.

When the darkness of night appears always shine,
Let that light within, mingle with God’s light divine,
Then evil darkness flees away and love shines through,
Always be filled with light, think of the good you can do.

A light within cannot be dimmed by any outside hand,
We are our lighthouse keeper, saving others from sands
Of evil, with God’s help we can keep it always bright,
Showing the far better way by our ever constant light.

If we strive to keep our light worthy to ever brightly shine,
Forever aim and strive, for our heavenly home a place divine,
Think of it as a lamp that needs trimming, oil filled every day,
So follow the Master’s example and shine for Him each day.
