MARCH
March came in so delicately,
Will spring come too?
The snow is vanishing quickly,
Will flowers show through
To greet us one day soon?
The air is warm and gentle,
No snow clouds mar sun or moon,
Earth dons a warm mantle,
But still a robin has not been seen
In our garden anywhere,
Yet I see patches of grass now green,
And the breeze wafts fair.
Is that a snowdrop by the birch tree?
Or a crocus coming through
Where the ground is almost snow free,
and the grass is quite new.
March can be a deceiver show a fair face,
then sends the snow and winds to blow
Across the beginning of spring’s grace,
so March please kindness show.
