UTOPIA
A thousand places this could be,
Sitting by a warm sapphire sea,
Standing on a mountain high
Almost touching stars in the sky.
A perfect fishing spot on a lake
As you watch nature first awake,
A mighty forest thick and deep
There lay yourself down to sleep.
The colours in fall, trees all ablaze
Draped in autumns warm haze,
The laughter of children at play,
Going home at the end of the day.
But to go to the temple and sit there,
Quietly bowing your head in prayer,
Feeling the closeness of heaven above,
Being filled with His everlasting love.
That is Utopia the true earthly place
Where you can feel God, His grace
Fills you like no other spot I know,
The perfect that place I love to go.
A touch of Utopia in nature is found,
With great beauty and the sweet sound
Of water, birds, beasts, wind in the trees,
In each of those moments Utopia seize.
Yet in the temple sweet peace dwells
All earthly worries and hurt it quells,
A feeling of love and gentle security
A feeling I want throughout eternity.
