More poems about Eternal Love

        FALLING IN LOVE
It happened when the moon did not shine I fell in love,
I do not think the stars were bright up in the sky above,
But the wind whispered in the trees of sweet love to me,
Holding hands, eyes met, we wanted each other for eternity.

The weather did not matter when realization came our way,
But the feeling was so sweet that I’ll remember for many a day,
For when love lies dormant then suddenly comes to full bloom,
Then for all the joy and happiness there hardly seems room.

Then the sun seems always to be shining brightly in the sky,
You walk along with a smile on our face, a twinkle in your eye,
The flowers that grow smell and birds always sweeter sing,
As you glance down at your finger and see your engagement ring.

But looking back to the night when he proposed so gently to me,
The moon shone bright and full as we walked by the mighty sea,
Our hearts were in tune with the pounding of the waves beat,
Hand in hand we wandered along the sand and other lovers meet.

That love has grown more as the days of life roll quickly by,
There is still the holding of the hands and the twinkle in the eye,
Our love now blossoms like some garden that is fragrant and fair,
A lasting love, a powerful love, that we will forever share.
