More poems about Feeling about the Temple

RECOMMEND
I have a small piece of paper, my temple recommend,
My most valuable possession, it’s like a good friend,
It is of the greatest value and more priceless to me
Than money, it’s my passport to say I try to be worthy
To enter into God’s holy temple here on the earth today,
A constant reminder to stay on the straight and narrow way.
A small piece of paper in my purse, my conscience and guide,
Helping me know that He will be constantly close to my side,
Temptations seem to fade and Satan I can turn quickly away,
When that current temple recommend is in my purse does stay.
I think of all the blessings I would loose if it was not there,
I’d have deep inner sufferings, hurt and pain beyond compare,
In this world where good and evil side by side have to dwell,
I hope for sin, my piece of paper I would never ever sell.
For there is no earthly prize however good it seems to be
Could compare to the value than my recommend is to me.
I will not let Satan win, wanting to hold a recommend I’ll stay,
Ready in my purse so I can enter the temple for many a day,
I pray that I will have the power a recommend to always keep,
Then I will try to be ready to meet Him, after my final sleep.
