FOR A SICK FRIEND
A nice potted plant for a dear sick friend,
Hoping as flowers open sickness will end,
As each bloom shows it’s lovely grace,
We hope it puts a smile on your face.
May the plant remind you that we care,
If there’s anything we can do we’ll be there.
May the buds remind you of spring
And the bounties that season does bring.
Please get well soon, recover again,
May you soon be free from hurt and pain.
We miss you, come to dinner soon,
All we ask is that sweet simple boon.
So please get well and make us smile,
And may this plant cheer you awhile.
