TAKE A GOSPEL PILL
If we could take a gospel pill so all would be well,
Given the knowledge and wisdom in heaven to dwell,
It would be nice and easy, no growth while we strive,
It wouldn’t work, we need to become strong to thrive.

If we take a gospel pill and then never ever sin again,
Always willing to choose the right cause no one pain,
It would be simple to reach up and grasp heavens gate,
But it could not work, easy things would seal our fate.

For seeking and serving and finding is the only way
To reach and gain heaven one wonderful, glorious day.
No magic gospel pill taken will bring us quickly there,
It takes hard work all the time and constant daily prayer.
