        NEEDING GOD
When all is well and the world is bright,
It is quite easy to put God out of sight.
But when life is harsh and cruel every day
The wise know they need their God to stay.

Affluence, often corrodes the tender bands
That keeps us safely close to Gods hands,
When you have nothing you need God there,
He listens to the sorrows of each simple prayer.

We’re poor if we can’t afford a suit or dress,
Complain if our furniture begins to look a mess,
Worry if we can’t buy five fruits to be healthy,
Concerned that in this life we’ll never be wealthy.

But those in developing countries world wide
Live in poverty, unbelievable to those who reside
In places where homes are built firm and strong,
Running water, electricity and warmth all belong.

These dearest brothers and sisters of ours
Often have to walk for many long hours
To get to church with very little to eat,
Maybe not even any shoes for their feet

But both rich and poor need God by their side
Those that have very little have no stubborn pride
But know that God is there to carry them through.
Let the rich know they need God, Like the poor do/
