More poems about Good Things of Life

        SENSES, FIRST, TOUCH
Do we appreciate our senses given to most,
Are we of these great gifts insensitive hosts?
Have you ever felt a rose or a new baby’s skin,
Felt the wind on your face and felt good within?

Or being weary soaked in a warm fragrant tub,
Soaked in bliss, then too content to really rub,
Wrapped yourself in a large towel felt at peace,
The touch of a bed at night when worries cease.

Have you felt a cold wisp of the touch of snow
As with effort you in the winter homeward go,
The rush of the warm air as you open the door,
And the strong hug of a loved one you adore?

The sense of touch is a gift that is full of love,
Have you ever felt the soft feathers of a dove?
Stop and this night when you kneel and pray
Thank Him for the sense of touch this day.
