CHRISTMAS MELODIC MICE
Just before Christmas in our local drug store,
Were a group of singing mice easy to adore,
But they were expensive, on the pricy side,
For wanting one my desire I could not hide.

It was in the new year that one came my way,
A red velvet hooded cape, fur trim and she did play
And sang Jiggle Bells, lit up, waved her arms around,
A little white girl mouse the cutest to be found.

Then a few days later to my wonder and surprise,
Two more adorable mouses were before my eyes,
One all arrayed as the nutcracker, daring and bold,
Even a little sword ready for him to grab hold.

The other a choir mouse with jacket and bow tie,
Carrying a music book to sing to the passers by,
Two sing Merry Christmas with sweet music too,
The other mouse sings Jingle bells part way through.

They look cute together, I can get stereophonic sound
When I start them off together, so please come around
So I’ll get an excuse to play them before Christmas time,
For now I have to put them away which to me is a crime.
