SEA OF GREEN
It was like a sea of green, the grass upon the hill,
As I sat looking out leaning over my window sill,
Mid-summer sun kissed the land with a sweet caress,
As nature seemed to be wearing her prettiest dress.
The greens changed as it was tossed gently too and fro,
The trees moved as well a motion more gracefully slow,
Dashes of other colours in that massive sea of green
As hundreds of sweet wild flowers wanted to be seen.
I wanted a grand stately galleon so I could set out to sea
And ride the waves and go farther into this ocean of beauty,
Ride on these gentle waves until some fairy land I found,
There dock my grand galleon and think Paradise Id found.
My heart carried me far over the brow of the hill that day,
Yet no ship of any kind at all carried me very far, far away,
But I traveled over the grassy sea to places yet unknown,
And one day Ill tell the story to you when we are all alone.
