SNOWFALL
The snow fell in fold upon fold
Of hand woven delicate lace,
Filling the air with a web of
beauteous grace,
Dancing as it fell and sparkling in
the lamplight’s glow
Covering the earth with a
tapestry of snow,
Like a long bridal veil draping
everywhere around
With silent, pristine beauty,
and now we are found
In some other realm where beauty
is always seen
Even though the air we feel is quite
cruel and keen.
Nothing soiled, all clean and glistening
in the dark night,
That will be a scene for me to remember
with pure delight.
