More poems about Winter

        ENJOY IT SOME WAY.
Listen to the cold wind ripping through the tall trees,
Rattling windows, making everything it touches freeze,
Even safe indoors you can hear the wind’s plaintiff cry,
I hope the promised storm warning passes us right by.

Listen something has been blown loose, flying away,
Darkness descended early on this very blustery day,
The sun is there somewhere for it is only about three,
Those rushing clouds cover light so it is hard to see.

Maybe the first storm of the new year is fast blowing in,
With a force ten gale this winter battle wanting to win,
Who would venture out when a storm warning is about,
I will stay safe at home unless I really have to go out.

Look at those snowflakes falling fast and so furiously
The wind whipping them every way or so it seems to me,
Winter is so beautiful when there is snow settled everywhere,
But while it falls so fast everyone should take extra-special care.

Winter loveliness is hard paid for so enjoy it if you can,
Somehow this cold phenomenon is part of natures plan,
So we have to grin and bear it, be active in some way
Even if its writing a poem instead of going out to play,
