NO MUSIC AT ALL
Can you imagine a time when theres
no music in the air?
No sound of all the stringed instruments
wafting soft and fair,
No sound of the heralding trumpet
or the beating of timpani,
No horn or the melancholily oboe
to sooth and comfort me,
No songs to sing about love or pain,
no gently rocking lullaby,
No mighty choir singing to touch the
heart to make you cry,
Not one chord or sweet note, not even
the birds would sing,
Can you think how sad the world be?
Such a tragic thing.
Many strong hearts would break,
souls would weep,
For inside everyone our own song
we somewhere keep,
It needs to be found and sung about
to lift your hearts high,
For a heart that cannot try and sing
in sadness may die,
