HUSHED WERE THE SOUNDS
Hushed were the sounds of the temple as a few entered in
Away from the hurried world, free from all earthly din,
Caressed in gentle stillness, enveloped in His sweet peace,
For those in the temple all noise, worry and strife did cease.
There is a quiet contentment, safety for the world weary soul,
A healing hand sweeps over you to help you feel whole,
At Christmas time we are all very busy, ready for the big day,
It will surprise you how it all works out if in the temple you stay.
So for two short hours come and soak up the spirit that is there,
Find blessing of sweet comfort and a deep joy beyond compare,
For if you spend some time to lend a hand to those gone on before,
A wonderful way to show how much Father and Jesus you do adore.
We would not leave folks hungry, wed help as much as we can,
So why not extend a hand to those who know of Fathers plan?
Do not keep them waiting any longer, hear their anxious plea today,
Come to the peace of the temple, and watch your cares drift away.
