More poems about Magical Christmas

MAGICAL CHRISTMAS
My meager Christmas shopping completed
in plenty of time,
The presents, although a few, under the
tree looked quite fine,
Just one present for most this year
underneath the tree,
At least there was something there
for them to see.
Getting the last minute things close to that
very special day,
An old man with happy dancing eyes
stopped me on my way,
Gave me a purse containing money
and said with a smile
“Go out and buy all you need, this money
will last many awhile.
He was gone from me in a quick
twinkling of an eye.
I went to the big camera shop
a $200.00 gift to buy,
Had it gift wrapped and went
quickly along the street,
A new suit for my husband, well made,
that would be a treat.
A new computer, fancy gifts found
for all the family,
Then as my shopping ended that old
man once again I did see,
I thanked him as he walked away as of
many worries I was set free.
He approached another shopper, the
purse offered with a smile,
I awoke thinking what a wonderful
way to go that extra mile.
That dream brought joy to me and helped
me to try and realize
That the meaning of Christmas is love
the greatest gift to prize.
