GOOD OVER EVIL
To mock another’s religion is cruel and wrong,
It is hurtful and lacks respect, and if a throng
Of people meets to hurt, try and make afraid,
Surely by the evil one they are being paid.

Yet if we greet these folks with a smile and wave,
Sings song of the gospel and try and be brave
The Lord will be with us, give us voice so strong
That it will overpower those who choose wrong.

Sweet songs of praise rise triumphant so clear
That heaven joins the chorus for all to hear,
Hearts may be softened and conscience guide
And some will realize and their faces just hide.

Stand up for the truth and let it shine bright
And through simple actions lead all to the light,
God’s way is the right way, no mocking is heard,
Just the truth spoken with song and a sweet word.

Never be discouraged, follow the Masters way,
Teach by example, then pray at the end of the day
For those who spitefully misuse you to God above,
Then exchange the mocking with acts of true love.
